October 29, 1448: A "brother of the devil from Nicopol" (Turkish envoy) arrived at the court of Wallachia. October 31, 1448: Vlad Ţepeş was still in Târgovişte, as indicated by a letter to the judges and burghers of Braşov. October 12, 1449: Bogdan II defeated Alexăndrel in the battle of Tămăşani, near Roman, and integrated Moldova into Iancu of Hunedoara's sphere of influence.
