Dracula Film Festival is announcing its 2025 edition! For 12 years now, the Braşov International Fantastic Film Festival – Dracula Film Festival (October 30 – November 3) – offers unique cinematic experiences, premieres, previews, Q&As, concerts and exhibitions.
The festival has several competitive sections, intended for both professionals in the art of cinematography and young people just starting out. The Dracula Trophy is the award for the best feature film, Little Dracula is the award for the best international short film, and Vladuț is the award for the best Romanian short film, while Dracula Digital is the competition for young amateurs who will make fantastic short films with their mobile phones.
Among the highghts of 2025, are:
Dramatic readings of Dracula with Dacre Stoker: a unique experience at the crossroads of literature, technology, and multimedia performance, presented by Bram Stoker’s great-great-grandnephew, Dacre Stoker. He returns to Romania with a new version of his show “Stoker on Stoker”, titled “Dramatic Readings of Dracula by Dacre Stoker” — a performance that “resurrects” his ancestor, Bram Stoker, with the help of artificial intelligence (Friday, October 31st, 2025; Cinema Modern, Hall 1; 7:00 PM; free access subject to availability, duration 1h 30min).
The short film festival: the filmmakers compete for the 2 trophies in the race – Little Dracula (international) and the Vladuț Trophy (Romania).
The long movie competition: daring moviegoers are invited to discover the latest horror, fantasy, thriller and sci-fi productions from around the world.
