2025 Grand Dracula Tour with Dacre Stoker

Experience Transylvania is organizing the now traditional “Dracula Tour with Dacre Stoker” in Romania, during June 6 – 14, 2025. This is a great experience to visit and learn first-hand about the locations associated with the fictional characters of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the medieval Romanian hero Vlad the Impaler. Dacre, who is not only the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker but also a co-author of “Dracul” and “Dracula the Un-Dead,” will guide the participants through the mysteries of each location.

Each day is carefully scheduled to visit and learn as much as possible, while enjoying quality time and friends:

Day 1 – Bucharest: old town tour, visit to places connected to Vlad Dracula.

Day 2 – Bran: tour of the castle, vampire dinner, the real connection of the castle to Bram Stoker.

Day 3 – Brasov: visit of the old town and learn about Vlad’s love, visit of a Saxon fortified church; arrive in Sighisoara and enjoy dinner at the house where Vlad was born.

Day 4 – Sighisoara: tour of the medieval citadel and visit a museum.

Day 5 – Borgo Pass: visit the Orthodox Monastery, taste Romanian wine, Dacre’s map study of Jonathan Harker itinerary.

Days 6 and 7 – Calimani Mountains: hike to the location of the fictitious Castle Dracula, visit of the Calimani Visitor’s Center.

Day 8 – Bistritz and Hoia Baciu forest: stop at Golden Crown Hotel location, coffee break at the haunted Hoia Baciu forest near Cluj, dinner in old Cluj.

Day 9 – Cluj and departure

The tour starts in Bucharest and ends in Cluj. The price is 1975 EUR/person, valid in double occupancy for a minimal group of 15 people. The price includes accommodation in 3* & 4* hotels, transfers according to program in comfortable bus, meals according to program (all hotel breakfasts, 3 lunches, 5 dinners), entrance fees & activities according to program, certified local guide, Dracula expert and tour leader Dacre Stoker. Bookings are handled by Experience Transylvania.
