While shaving, Jonathan discovers the Count has no reflection in the mirror. The Count becomes enraged at the sight of blood from a small cut Jonathan made while startled, but he calms down when his hand touches the crucifix. The Count then flings the mirror out the window. Later, Jonathan realizes every door in the castle is locked and he is a prisoner.
