December 14, 1408: Emperor Sigismund of Luxemburg and his wife Barbara founded the Order of the Dragon. December 4, 1447: Iancu of Hunedoara, in an act issued "in our city Târgovişte," titled himself not only "governor of the kingdom of Hungary" but also "voivode of Wallachia". December 17, 1447 (second half) - February 1448 (early): Iancu of Hunedoara was present near the Moldavian borders (Braşov, Sf. Gheorghe, Odorhei, Bistriţa).
