This is the date of the third and final post-dated letter stating Jonathan had arrived at Bistritz. That evening, the Count tells Jonathan he will leave the next morning, but Jonathan discovers the front door is blocked by a pack of howling wolves. He is forced to retreat to his room, where he hears the Count and the vampire women laughing in the corridor.
